The Nataraja foundation is looking to finance a part of its activities through earnings coming in from services to other NGO’s and government agencies. Our project design services and our social marketing impact advisory services are great value for money because though we have the intellectual capacity to match the best service providers from around the world, we do not charge as much.

We however, still will require all the financial support that we can get because our projects are ambitious and they require large amounts of money. The difference in our case is that donors have an option to use our expertise and deploy our minds on projects they might pursue elsewhere.

In all cases donors can be sure that their money will reach their intended target populations because we follow very strict procedures and policies.

In India, contributions are tax exempt under Section 80 (g) of the Indian Income Tax Act while in the US contributions are tax deductible under IRS code Section 501 ( c ) 3.

Donors may specify the project that they would like to support from the list below. Money will however be accepted by us only if the concerned project is live ( being executed or soon to be executed ) as we would like to avoid a situation where funds lie un-utilized:

1. The Skill Building Initiative … Building skill sets for the local economy within rural populations
2. The Teachers Training Programme … Training Village school teachers
3. The Shared Teaching Resources Initiative … Linked to our rural hub school concept
4. The Travelling Science Lab for Rural children
5. The Heritage Program … distributing Amar Chitra Katha comics in rural schools
6. The Vernacular Architecture and Masons Training Initiative … setting up of a Masons Training Institute and School Campus with elegant buildings made of Natural building materials
7. The Environment and Habitat Restoration Programme … Re-Introducing of rare flora and fauna into their once native environments
8. The Nataraja Tree Plantation Initiative
9. The Social Marketing Initiative … This is our innovative programme to help other NGO’s, Corporate CSR initiatives and government agencies maximize the impact of their social initiatives. The money here will be used mainly to buy special equipment and recruit specially trained personnel to spread social messages to maximize impact for every dollar / rupee spent on awareness programmes.
