The foundation is structured into Founder Trustees, An Advisory Board and a Management Team. We have recently embarked on the initial test phase of the Vivekanand Education Megaproject where project concepts are to be tested. To effectively execute, we will be starting on a small scale with scalable IT applications in schools and move to larger plans.
To make this happen we will in the following months by bringing in an advisory board and adding to our Management team.
Mr. S Natarajan
The Nataraja Foundation is named after Mr. S Natarajan, an outstanding teacher of English. he earned the sobriquet Shakespeare" for his uncanny ability to quote profusely from the writings of the Bard of Avon. Widely traveled and interested in trekking, he launched the Duke of Edinburgh scheme while at Belgaum Military School. He has produced plays , edited the school publications and trained boys for many public speaking competitions. After retirement in 1993, he has been devoting his energies and expertise to writing articles on varied subjects in various journals and magazines.
Mr. Natarajan was educated at the Madras and Benares universities and saw service as a teacher and headmaster in Tamil Nadu before moving to Bangalore to join the erstwhile King George's School ( presently the Rashtriya Military School ).
Smt. Saroja Natarajan
Smt. Saroja Natarajan, the settlor of the foundation is a born singer. She was taught and trained by outstanding teachers in both the Carnatic and Hindustani styles of Classical Music.
Her first public concert was at the age of 7 , followed six years later by her being selected by All India Radio for the famous Thiruvaiyyar programme which was relayed nation-wide. Since then , Ms. Natarajan has given numerous vocal renditions in several television broadcasts, programmed from London, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore in which she has displayed her incredible range. For her contribution to the field of music she has been conferred with the Karnataka Kala Shree by the Government of Karnataka and the Sangeetha Kala Ratna by the Divine Life Society among others. She currently lives in Bangalore where she still captivates audiences when she performs. Her passion now is to train young people with a developed interest in music in the finer aspects of the Carnatic and Hindustani styles. Innovation in Education is the primary focus of the Nataraja Foundation. Having the right people involved is therefore Key to success as they bring innovative ideas, create opportunities and move projects faster and in a more focused manner.
A key element for success is for those involved to share their ideas out loud so that the best ideas can be implemented immediately in the field.
We are in the process of bringing a group of Senior people on board as an Advisory Board.
Mr. Ashish Puntambekar
Ashish is a student of Mr. S Natarajan and functions as the project designer for the Nataraja Foundation.
He is also a corporate planner at one of India s largest business groups where he has designed and advised on the execution of some of India s largest infrastructure and clean energy projects , a few of which have gone on to become national projects and have been featured in the media. His current interests include the education and healthcare sectors besides energy and large urban / rural development schemes. He has a bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering from NIT Surat and a Masters degree in International Business from IIFT Delhi.
Mr. G K Giridhar
Giridhar is the Treasurer of the Nataraja Foundation. A post graduate in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Tiruchirapplalli, he has over 15 years of experience in manufacturing and within the IT industry. Currently he is working as a Programme Manager with a large IT services company.
Mr. Chivukula Harnath
Chivukula Harnath is the Legal Counsel of the Foundation. A graduate in Law with a PG Diploma in Business Management, he has over 28 years of post qualification experience in the legal discipline as a practitioner executive in the legal department of leading Public and Private Sector Banks and Oil and Natural Gas companies. He is an expert in documentation and legal matters. Presently he is holding a senior position in the legal department of a reputed company.
Mr. T Krishna Kumar
Krishna Kumar works as a Programme Manager and planner for the foundation. He is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Surat and an MBA in marketing from SP Jain Institute of Management. He has over 16 years of experience in the IT industry dealing with issues ranging from sales to product development and Human Resources both in India and overseas. Currently he is working as a Senior Manager with a large IT services company.
